Let it Be You All I want is to be gentle All I want is to be kind Tell you all the ways I love you Give you all the love I find And when the day is done with the setting sun We’ll be drifting down the line And the one I’m dreaming next to Let it be you All I want is to be honest All I want is to be clear Tell you everything I’m thinking Show you all my deepest fears And when the time has come with the setting sun We’ll be drifting down the pier And the one I’m dreaming next to Let it be you Let it be you In the evening and the afternoon When the birds are singing and the bells are ringing their tune All I want is to be simple All I want is to be free Tell you all about my travels Share the kindness that I’ve seen And when the time has come with the setting sun We’ll be drifting out to sea And the one I’m dreaming next to Let it be you Let it be you, oh! Let it be you, oh! Let it be you

California 03:18
Thinking of the way I used to brush your hair We'd call each others' names from just above the stairs Sweep the kitchen floor nearly every night Stealing kisses 'cause the money's tight And if you see me Down in Georgia Playing softly For another girl Oh if you see me In California Lead me back Back into your world Daily fantasizing out the window pane Writing our own love songs was your favorite game Laughing, smiling, feeling young again Sweet dreams with you were just around the bend And if you see me Down in Georgia Playing softly For another girl Oh if you see me In California Lead me back Back into your world Dreaming of the way I used to call your name Knowing all along that we had felt the same Looking through your eyes after a thousands stairs Glad that I had chanced it, glad that I had dared And if you see me Down in Georgia Playing softly For another girl Oh if you see me In California Lead me back Back into your world

Elizabeth 03:49
Elizabeth Would you help me get back home? It’s not that I Can’t do it on my own But I’d rather have your hand than walking all alone Elizabeth Remind me how you care I know you do But hearing it from you Means the world to me So tell me Tell me truly please Do you love me the way that you used to? Do you still think of me the way I think of you? Elizabeth Please be gentle this time Don’t build me up And tear me down Don’t steal my peace of mind Just tell me straight And we’ll be fine this time Do you love me the way that you used to? Do you still think of me the way I think of you? Do you love me the way that you used to? Do you still think of me the way I think of you? Elizabeth Would you help me find my way It’s not that I Can’t do it on my own But I’d rather have you Have you stay

My Heart 01:19
You can have the stage and spotlight in my dreams Every morning 'fore I wake You can have those quiet moments in the dark But you can't have my heart You can have the butterflies inside my chest And the glimmer in my eyes Baby, you can tear my sanity apart But you can't have my heart

The Score 04:19
So confess, I know it's true All that time you said you'd lose With me, believing every word you heard I confess, I knew it too. All that sorrow left inside your mind And not a single thing to do So if you find yourself Finding time to spend with me I do believe you should Come away with me into the mountains Come away into the blue Lay me down in fields of grass Feel my pulse and just relax Lay me down right next to you Now I guess I'll sing the blues Half a bed that's left to use And never knowing whose is whose to lose So if you find yourself Finding time to spend with me I do believe you should Come away with me into the mountains Come away into the blue Lay me down in fields of grass Feel my pulse and just relax Lay me down right next to you Come away with me into the mountains Come away into the blue Lay me down in fields of grass Feel my pulse and just relax Lay me down right next to you Well I've been there once before And I can tell you that the score Doesn't come out even But it comes out right

I've got love on my side I've got time to preside Over heaven and earth and the dirt I've got green fields and air I've got daylight to spare I've got love on my side and I'm sure Slow it down Take a deep breath Hear my heart Beating inside my chest When you wake in the morn' Take your time, keep me warm Rest your eyes for a few minutes more I've got love on my side I've got time to preside Over heaven and earth and the dirt I've got green fields and air I've got daylight to spare I've got love on my side and I'm sure Sound asleep Lay your head down Not a peep Can't you tell I'll be 'round When you drift off at night and I'm holding you tight One last glimpse 'til I turn off the light I've got love on my side I've got time to preside Over heaven and earth and the dirt I've got green fields and air I've got daylight to spare I've got love on my side and I'm sure I've got love on my side I've got time to preside Over heaven and earth and the dirt I've got green fields and air I've got daylight to spare I've got love on my side and I'm sure

about

The Kindness of Strangers was recorded in Denver, Colorado in a dimly lit church corridor.

Songwriter Kyle Donovan worked closely with Boulder-based pianist and recording engineer Daniel Herman to record the album's six tracks. Sam Sherman plays drums, Owen Tharp plays the upright bass, and Nicholas Pappas sings harmony.

Blue-green jalousie windows faded into darkness as the sun set on an early autumn evening. Hoisting microphones high into rafters of the church, the musicians lit candles to escape the buzzing of fluorescent lights and sat in quiet reverence. Gradually, as they tuned instruments and practiced harmonies, they filled the church corridor with the echoes and intention of creation and The Kindness of Strangers came to life.
